SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) -- Firefighters and a squadron of aircraft launched a desperate daylight attack Friday to push back a wind-whipped wildfire that destroyed at least 100 homes and forced thousands to evacuate.

Aren't Pyramids Supose to go Up?????

  • I agree with the first because I believe that if you put all the important information at the beginning then I believe that the reader would lose interest in the article.
  • When I read an article I would like the information spred out so it is in a storytelling quality.
  • I don't think that it sometimes bepends on the tipe of article because what ever you are writing you would like to keep your readers interest in the whole article.
  • I don't agree with this way of writing. This pyramid goes down; so i agree with that part, I give it a thumbs down. And aren't pyramid supose to go up?

"Dogs Fighting Cancer" Video Questions

THE QUESTIONS
1. What is the story? (What is the point of the news report?)
A) The Story is about dogs that have cancer it is called “Dogs Fight Cancer” and how they are raising money for them. The point of the story is to get you aware of the increase of cancer in dogs.
2. What is the establishing shot in the video?
A) The first shot is people putting out treats on the table for the dogs.
3. What is the introduction?
A) The introduction is saying where the party is set and that it is time for tea and that the treats and guest are not normal.
4. Most likely "sources" are used in the report and they are making comments. Name two of them.
A) There are many sources in this report and two of them are fro the vet and another from dog owners.
5. Based on what these two sources say, what questions do you think they were asked? Create two questions for each source that you feel they were probably asked.
A) For the vet I believe they would ask is “How much different are dog from humans?” and “How will this treatment center help you?” and from the dog owner would be “How did you feel when you found out that your dog had cancer?” and “What is your dog to you?”
6. Identify four different types of "B-roll" in the video.
A) 1 is when they are walking out and putting things on the tables. 2 bringing the dogs and people in. 3 dogs eating and drinking. 4 walking 3 lagged dog.
7. What are two other types of B-roll footage that you think they could have used (consider what is being said in the voice overs)?
A) There are no other types of B-roll that I can see. What ever he was talking about there was a clip to go with it.

A) 1) People are putting out food and the person that is talking is telling that they are getting ready for high tea and that the guest are not normal. 2) Then it shows dogs eating and drinking from fine china, the person that is talking is saying that all of it is to raise awarness for dogs with cancer. 3) It also shows a 3 laged dog and he tells her story about how she had to lose he lag because of cancer. 4) Then it shows many different dogs and he is saying that dogs are living longer and that more and more are getting cancer.
9. What is the closing to the video?
A) The closing of the video said who reported it and where it was taken.
10. Who is the reporter and what is her/his tag at the end?
