Your personal info is never just personal

-Are you comfortable with the knowledge that your online behaviour is not only being tracked by certain websites, but also that a number of these sites are sharing information about you with potential advertisers? No I am not comfortable with this.
-Have you ever noticed that the advertisements you see on websites such as Facebook and Google are often related to your own interests? Yes I have.
-To what extent should websites be allowed to track your behaviour? Should they be able to use this information to attract advertisers? Should websites be required to get consent from users before they track behaviour? I believe that they should only be able to know your age and gender. i believe it depends on what your advertising, and yes they should get consent from the person before finding out anything.
-Has this issue made you reconsider what you put onto the internet (for example, photos and personal information on Facebook), or does it have no bearing on your future online activity? I don't put personal information on the Internet anyway so it really doesn't change me.

The ad said that moms shouldn't carry their children in a sling, they say it will hurt their back, but a mother has to carry a baby in her stumck for 9 months and at first it does hurt your back but wouldn't you get use to it? So would a few more months of having a baby straped to you really afect you that much? I don't think it would, I think that you would ajust to the waight gain just like when you were pregnet with them. I also believe that it is easyer for the mother because the mothers hands are free so they can do other things.

Which aspects of your paper would you highlight?
The aspects of my paper that I would highlight would definitely be those of which I consider most important-the main page, which contains the lead stories and "breaking news", as well as the opinion page, also labelled as "Your Voice". I believe that readers enjoy having their opinions published in the online newspaper (or any newspaper, for that matter), as it makes them feel as though what they say does, in fact, matter.
Which aspects of your paper would you leave out of the advertisement campaign?
The aspects of my paper that I would leave out of the advertisement campaign would be those of lesser importance (i.e. weather) The weather, of course, is an important page; however, I do not believe that it would be necessary to advertise the weather during the campaign.
What demographic would you target-any one in particular, or would you try to appeal to a broad audience?
Instead of focusing on one particular group of individuals, I believe that I would try to appeal to a broad audience. I would attempt to create an interesting campaign in which a wide variety of readers would become drawn to.
How would you advertise your paper?
I would advertise my paper extremely well. I would converse with the creators of various webpages and ask permission to create a link on their page. I would also create colorful flyers and post them around town (in stores, activity centres, etc.), ensuring that they caught people's attention. Besides this, I would also attempt to advertise our paper on television, which could potentially draw a lot of attention to our paper.
What goals would you set for yourself as an advertiser?
I would set many goals for myself as an advertiser. Most importantly would be to determine the amount of new readers that I could recruit in order to label my campaign a "success". I would estimate that anywhere between 500 and 1500 new readers would definitely aid in making a campaign successful.

Internet Vs Newspaper

Which appeals to you most as a reader? Why?
I rather read of the Internet because it is easier to find what you are looking for.
Which method is more effective in delivering news?
The Internet because you can watch videos, looking at more than one picture and read the article at the same time.
What problems might an online newspaper face in terms of attracting readers?
There are some people that can't use an Internet, some people don't have a computer or Internet.
What steps would you take to improve either newspaper?
I am not sure how to improve the newspaper. Is there anything we can do to improve it?
What is each paper’s strongest attribute?
For the paper it is just for one place and you know where the news is taken place.

How dominate is advertising in both versions?
The Internet because it has moving advertisement and I don't know why but moving advertisements sell more.

The Reading Level of Newspapers

I believe that the reading level of newspapers are low but it is so everyone is able to read it. If they only used a high reading level then read they would lose all of the people that can't read very well, which is a lot of people if you really think about it.

Yes and no because most people want to know what is going on around where they live, but we also want to know some stuff that is going on around the world. But we would like the news to be mostly be based on the thing that happen around here.

I am not quit sure what can help them at this point and i don't think anything can.

Can newspapers even be saved, or do you feel that this isn’t something for newspapers to be concerned about? (aka, do you feel that the newspaper industry is not in danger).

No i believe that in about 15 to 20 years that the sales are going to go down and then soon after they are going to go compleatly out of style because everyone can get there news on the internet and they dont have to pay every time they want to see the news.

Do you think the Internet will become the main source of news and even a focus on local news will not save newspapers? Why or why not?

Yes because one you dont have to go out to get it, two you dont have to pay so much money to see it, three its easy.

Finally, where do you see the state of newspapers in 25 years?

In about 25 years i can see them being gone or close to it.
